William J. Carson

William J. “Bill” Carson, 74, of Frankfort, passed away on Friday, September 2, 2016, at St. Vincent Seton Specialty Hospital in Indianapolis.

He was born September 10, 1941, in Frankfort, to Dewey Earl and Goldie Goodman Carson.  On April 9, 1961, he married Patricia M. Culley; she passed on May 7, 2014.

Bill attended Frankfort Schools.  He worked at Indiana Brass and retired in 2002 from SIA.  Bill was a member of Victory Chapel and enjoyed fishing, going to casinos, and taking care of his dogs.

He is survived by five children, Angela “Angie” Scott, Sandra “Sandy” (Buddy) Carson, Daniel Joseph Carson, William E. (Renae) Carson, and Jason L. (Gena) Carson; nine grandchildren, Josh, Chad, Gavin, Cierra, Alyssa, Dylan, Nick, Kaitlan, and Chloe; and four great-grandchildren.

In addition to his wife, Bill is preceded in death by his parents, brothers, Jerry Carson and Donald Goodman; and sister, Velma Carson.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, September 6, 2016, at Genda Funeral Home in Frankfort, from 4:00 – 7:00 p.m.  Funeral service will begin at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, September 7, 2016,at the funeral home with Rev. Lewis Smith officiating.
