William Leonard Hicks

William Hicks, 64, of Frankfort, passed away Wednesday, July 25, 2018 at Clinton House Health and Rehab Center.  He was born July 10, 1954 in Lafayette to Hurbert & Kathleen (Dye) Hicks.  He attended Lafayette Jeff High School and then went on to serve in the United States Army.  William worked as a barber, and then for Industrial Plating Inc. and Wabash National.  He enjoyed watching action movies and love stories, listening to classic rock and old country music, reading classic comics like Garfield, Blondie, and Beetle Bailey and drinking coffee.

William is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Heather and Charles Slone of West Lafayette; grandchildren, Hope White and Kevin Slone; former wife, Lisa (Bookout) Hicks; sister, Connie Hicks and a step-sister, Margaret Leming.

He was preceded in death by his parents, step-father, Fred Leming; sisters, Cheryl Hicks and Shirley Hicks and a step-brother, Fred Leming, Jr.

There are no services planned.  Arrangements are through Genda Funeral Home in Frankfort.
