Wilma Arlene Parnell, 90, formerly of Antioch, died at 5:15 p.m. July 8,
2011 at Milner Community Healthcare.
Mrs. Parnell was born on July 26, 1920 in Forest to Alva Lawrence and
Frances Cleo (Blystone) Louks. She married Paul E. Parnell on Oct. 6, 1040
and he preceded her in death on Jan. 12, 1998.
She was a beautician for many years and then a homemaker. She belonged to
Rossville Presbyterian Church and enjoyed reading, camping and spending
time with her family. She also previously volunteered as a âPink Ladyâ at
the Frankfort Hospital.
Surviving are four children, Dennis (companion Jan) Parnell of Lafayette,
Michael (wife Dayna) Parnell of California, Glenda Jo McEwen of Lafayette
and Paula (husband Rick) Wagner of Frankfort; several grandchildren,
great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; five sisters, and two
sons, Jeffrey âMoochâ and Jerry.
Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, July 13, 2011 at Bodine Funeral
Home in Rossville. Pastor John Everett will officiate the services.
Calling will occur from 5 to 7 p.m. Tuesday, July 12, 2011 at the funeral
home. Burial will occur in Scotland Cemetery.
