Wilma Louise Weaver, 99, of Mulberry, passed away Saturday, March 21, 2015, at Mulberry Health and Retirement Community.
She was born November 15, 1915, in Tippecanoe County, to Ray Nathan and Alta Marie Lawson Whitteberry. On December 1, 1961, she married Raymond M. Weaver in Avon; he preceded her in death on February 8, 1983.
Wilma graduated from Mulberry High School in 1934 and from Indianapolis School of Business in 1938. After graduation, she worked at Bridgeport Brass for 34 years before retiring. She was a member of West Newton United Methodist Church and N & N Circle at church. She was a former member of the Bridgeport Brass Retirees.
Wilma is survived by her step-son, Donnie Weaver of Indianapolis; step-daughter-in-law, Betty Weaver of Lebanon; nine step-grandchildren; one niece, Nancy (Richard) Cottrell; one step-niece, and several great nieces and nephews.
In addition to her husband, Wilma is preceded in death by her parents, one son, Richard Weaver; one step daughter-in-law, Kay Weaver; two brothers, Albert Lee Whitteberry and Ray Junior (Margaret) Whitteberry; one sister, Ella Katherine Davis; one niece, Margaret Ann Whitteberry Mills; and one great nephew, Nathan Cottrell.
Visitation for Wilma will be held on Saturday, March 28, 2015, at Mulberry Health and Retirement Community from 9:00 a.m. to the start of the funeral service at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Andria Helm officiating. Burial will follow in Fair Haven Cemetery in Mulberry. Memorials in Wilmaâs name may be made to Mulberry Health and Retirement Community.
