Grandma's Cook-off

Grandma’s cook-off was designed to be community event to celebrate one of the most beloved women in our lives, our grandmother! Many of us have memories not only of the woman, but the food we would eat for family dinners when visiting grandma. Participants are encouraged to either be a grandmother or bring their favorite grandmother’s dish. Cash prizes are given, and winners are crowned in each category. But the best part of the cook-off is after the judges have sampled their category dishes and step out to deliberate their decisions, everyone in attendance grabs plates and utensils to taste all the food and share in communion. Cookbooks are made so others may try their hand at duplicating their favorite dishes. Day & Genda is proud to host this annual friendly competition and to share in making memories around this amazing food each year.
